Through activities organized during the year, PAREF offers formative opportunities for parents to improve and develop themselves in their role as primary educators of their children. Our belief is that the proper education of children is determined to a great extent by the personal development of the parents themselves. Parents or the home environment is a powerful source of attitudes, values or habits that foster or impede the child’s learning. Thus, parents fulfill their duty if they are able to fostering good values and attitudes at home. Parent Formation activities can consist of the following: regular Parents’ Assemblies, the School for Parents program now being rolled out across the Schools, as well as spiritual activities offered through the Chaplaincy. The school’s Personal Formation Office is responsible for the overall implementation of the formation activities of parents and works closely with Parent Coordinators who serve as the bridge between the school and parents.
